Mhara Vare

Bio

Mhara was born to the M Tribe in Gyr Abania. They were brought to Eorzea by their mother as a young babe, no more than two, though in the attempt to cross the border their mother was slain by Garleans. They were rescued by the Gridanian archer Champelloix, and he raised them for some time (though out of an abundance of caution, he renamed them "Mhara" in case any Garleans knew their birthname).They came to show a gift for conjury, but in his desire to protect them from the fields of battle, Champelloix sent them off to study the arts of the hand in Ul'dah, where they apprenticed as a goldsmith, a weaver, and even an alchemist. They spent many long years working in relative loneliness, the only constant companion they seemed to have being first monthly, then yearly, visits by Champelloix.However, all this could not keep Mhara from their great love for helping others and their preternatural affinity for conjury. After turning eighteen, they returned to Gridania and enrolled to study at Stillglade Fane, and the rest, as they say, is history.Mhara had an incident while helping Severian Lyctor at the Alchemists' Guild, which resulted in their body undergoing some rather drastic... "changes", though they don't seem to mind the change. If the changes revert, they have made it known that that wouldn't be a bad thing, but if they don't then that's all right as well.Mhara has since found love in several friendly faces: their mates, Einari and Mizu; their dear partners Gentle, Aluette, and Raizo; and of course their sweet friends such as Cyrille, Cayden, and Theta. Not to mention all their companions who work at the Honey Bee Inn with them! All these people bring a big smile to Mhara's face when they get the chance to spend time with them.

  • Lalacakes - Tiny, handful-sized cakes topped with whipped or buttercream icing. The cakes come in Vanilla, Chocolate, or Strawberry sponge, and the icing comes in Vanilla, Chocolate, Mint, Lemon, and Coconut.

  • Fresh Pastries - Cinnamon Buns, Sally Lun Buns, Croissants, and muffins (blueberry, lemon poppyseed, chocolate chip, and pumpkin)

  • Limsan Cheesecake - Based on the cheesecake served at the world-renowned Bismarck restaurant, this vanilla cheesecake has a crumbly cinnamon-flavored crust and is topped with a compote of sweet cherries and sun lemon zest.

  • Almond Star Cookies - Made using ground almond flour and sweetened using honey, these cookies are topped with slivered almonds in the shape of a five-pointed star. Light and baked until golden, they pair wonderfully with a nice cup of tea.

Drinks

  • Coerthan Breakfast Tea - Hand-selected Coerthan tea leaves are steeped with dried blood orange peels and cloves to give it some bright notes that compliment the natural flavor of the tea.

  • Hannish Coffee - Available in both medium and dark roasts, this coffee is known for its sharp flavor with notes of fruity tang. Sugar and cream available on request.

  • The Pink Drink - Coconut milk mixed with blended dragonfruit, rolanberries, and ice, topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of pink sugar syrup.

  • Mermaid Tea - Tapioca pearls are placed in the bottom of a cup rimmed with blue sugar crystals, with some blue gelatin drizzled into the bottom for good measure. Then a mixture of Hingan black tea and fresh milk is poured in, and finally the whole thing is topped off with a splash of green melon syrup.

  • Smoothies - A refreshing blend of fruits and ice, select up to two fruits to use to make your favorite iced drink! Choose from Apple, Banana, Orange, Apricot, Grape, Lemon, Plum, Persimmon, Nopales, Pineapple, and Watermelon.
